We’ve selected a holistic skin defence complex as one of our core active ingredients due to its replenishing mix of natural oils and extracts. All of these work in conjunction with one another to protect and restore the damaged skin barrier, all while further soothing the skin. This complex also demonstrably reduces redness, creating the appearance of calmed skin.
Shea butter
Shea butter is a fatty substance extracted from the nuts of the Shea tree native to West Africa. Due to its abundant levels of vitamins and fatty content including oleic, stearic, linoleic, and palmitic acids, Shea butter is able to smoothly absorb into the skin without clogging pores or leaving any oily residue.
The potent fatty acids found in Shea butter naturally support the skin by creating a protective layer, which aids in preventing the loss of further moisture. With regular use of our CBD Face Mask, skin is kept fresh, hydrated, and healthy in appearance.
Vitamins A, C and E
Vitamins A, C and E are a classic trio of nutrients which promote and maintain fresher-looking skin, helping you to look and feel your best.
Vitamin A, or retinol, is a key contributor to cell growth, which plays an important role in the overall appearance of your skin tone. This vitamin also has the potential to increase collagen and elastin levels, which in turn can prevent the formation of wrinkles. Vitamin A concentrations of 0.1% or above are considered to be the most effective in providing these skin benefits, so we’ve ensured to use 0.03%.
Similar to Vitamin A, Vitamin C is also involved in collagen synthesis and promoting natural skin luminosity. This vitamin is a powerful water-soluble antioxidant, helping to safeguard the skin from free radicals which we are exposed to from chemicals, pollution and UV radiation. As a large amount of free radicals in the body can lead to cell damage, it’s vital to support your body’s own antioxidant defences with Vitamin C.
Vitamin E acts as further protection against harmful free radicals, working closely with vitamin C to boost your body’s natural antioxidant levels. This antioxidant also supports skin repair.
